Hi! I’m Fran!

A Chilean visual communicator, storyteller, and author.

For over a decade, I’ve helped organizations like Mastercard, Microsoft, and the United Nations turn complex ideas into visual stories – through visual summaries, corporate comics, live drawing and illustration.

I hold a Master’s in Advanced Design and a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts.

My comic strip “Paz” ran in the Chilean newspaper Publimetro and was selected for the first Ibero-American Exhibition of Women Cartoonists in 2006, traveling across the region. My Master’s thesis explored graphic novels as a medium for social empathy, developed through interviews with blind people, and was awarded top grade.

In 2019, I published Mejor Dilo con Monos, a visual thinking guide on overcoming the fear of drawing, crowdfunded by backers across Europe, the U.S., and Latin America.

Right now, I’m working on The Root Cause, a YA graphic novel about the systems we build to survive emotional abandonment and how they shape our identity. In 2026, I signed with a literary agent to bring it into the world.

When I’m not drawing, I’m in Santiago with my husband and our adopted greyhound, drinking too much espresso, rewatching films I already know by heart, and finishing books in a single sitting.
